What We Do

Most places that provide SEO services have a simple schtick: they offer you increased ranking in Google search engine results pages (SERPs), often a Top-10 ranking, for a few keywords that are relevant to your business.  But there’s a major problem with this that nobody talks about, which we’ll address shortly.

Most people aren’t aware of it, but there are some very simple things that anybody can do to improve your ranking of individual pages and keyword terms in the SERPs.  There are even a few tricks that can be done to get you right on the first page in under 24 hours.  This isn’t rocket science.  Seriously.

In fact, here’s one “secret”: all you need to get on the Top-10 list for a keyword search in Google is to have more back-links to your site using that keyword than some of the other Top-10 sites have.

Here’s another “secret”: Add a TITLE tag, META Description tag, and an H1 tag to one of the pages of your site that contains a keyword you want to rank for.  This works because about 99% of most sites don’t have anything meaningful for either of these three tags.  In fact, the most common keyword used in TITLE tags is: “home”.  (Search for it in Google — there are about 3.6 BILLION pages that match!)

So, the answer is very simple: Post some content of various types around the web that contains keywords you want to rank for, and make sure each post includes a backlink to a page in your website that matches the keyword used in that page’s TITLE, META Description, and H1 tags.

Honestly, this is about on the level of 5th-grade word games — post content on the web with keywords that match up with pages on your web site. The more matches there are, the more “points” you score with the search engines, and the higher these pages rank in the SERPS.  How tough can that be?

THE PROBLEM WITH THIS APPROACH

is … the distance from top-ranking SERPs to your bank account can be anywhere between an inch and a thousand miles.

Top-ranking SERPs drive traffic to your web site, for sure.  But … is your website then driving traffic to your store or restaurant?  or your sales page?  or into your bank account?

You have no business investing in services that drive traffic to your web site until there’s a mechanism in place for capturing leads and driving them into a sales funnel.

Otherwise it’s like sending traffic to a store during hours when they’re not even open.

WHAT WE DO

OFFER #2 — the above is fine if you’re looking to improve your search engine ranking in markets where there isn’t a lot of intense competition for keywords your customers would normally use to find you.  Also, it doesn’t address whether your landing page is converting; it doesn’t help you build a VIP Customer list; and it doesn’t handle sending out newsletters to that list every week or two.  If these additional services seem of value to you, then you want to consider our second offer, which is a more intensive approach that produces 50x the results as OFFER #1.

Here’s the essence of what we do for our clients every month under the second program:

  • We work with you to produce a month’s worth of content very quickly; it takes about 2 hours of your time
  • We set up a website using powerful software that’s proven as very effective at attracting web spiders
  • We set up a lead capture form on the site to get people to opt-in to a “Preferred Customer” list
  • We post some content every single day to 20 or more websites; each post has a backlink to the above site (we post to ~80 different sites of various types, and this list will grow)
  • We post bookmarks on social bookmarking sites for each of the above posts
  • We publish a newsletter to your list every week or two that includes special offers and discounts

The above activities result in over 1000 backlinks every month to the website we set up — that also captures visitor info and adds it to a mailing list. And every week or two, those people will get a short, snappy newsletter with a little newsy information on your business, along with a featured product and/or service and a special discount coupon.

We don’t have a fixed price for this service, because we’ve found that many clients like to handle some of these tasks themselves, especially the newsletter part. We’ll be happy to sit down and discuss your needs, then formulate a proposal that allows you to accomplish them.

RESULTS

The following results will be produced:

  1. You will have so much content posted online after 12 months (7,200+ videos, audios, and articles) that point back to your web site, and so many backlinks (at least twice that many), that your business will totally dominate the SERPs for the keywords used in these campaigns.  (As well as semantically-related keywords!)
  2. Your competitors will have an extremely difficult (and expensive) time getting any visibility at all in the SERPs.
  3. The online traffic to these websites will be about as much as you could possibly expect to get.
  4. Your “Preferred Customer List” will be generating significant revenues above and beyond what your main store or business is doing.  It will also be driving lots of direct and word-of-mouth traffic into your business.
  5. You will know exactly where your traffic is coming from online, what messages are more effective than others, and what your exact conversion rates are for all of your campaigns.

Disclaimer: this is a lot like saying that if you feed a child well, he’ll probably grow up to be big and strong and healthy.   Exactly how big and strong and healthy is hard to predict.  However, if you don’t feed a child enough, what do you think will happen?

The key factors: (1) TONS of content; (2) careful alignment of keywords across all campaigns; and (3) the lead capture page on the site.

The weakest link: the lead capture step.  This is what gets the traffic into your sales funnel.  When done properly, your customer list becomes a recurring revenue source that produces sales at a compounded sales rate.  This is the one that all of those “SEO” peddlers are leaving out and don’t want to discuss with you.

COMMITTMENT

There are two variables that you can control in the world of SEO:

1) How much content you want to generate over time – each piece of content contains a backlink to your site; and
2) How frequently you want to post content.

There are two variables you CANNOT control:

1) The “weather” — that is, the unpredictable and sometimes fickle nature of the search engines to list then delist then relist pages, sites, and even related groups of sites, at apparently random intervals and over varying periods of time; and
2) The competitive landscape surrounding the keywords for which you want to get ranked.

In general, the amount of traffic you’ll get will be proportional to the following equation: 

(how competitive the keywords are) x (how long you’re willing to fight for keyword domination)

It’s very easy to quickly and consistently rank very high for non-competitive keywords.  So what?

If you want to totally crush and dominate your competition for certain keywords, you need to think of doing so only as a long-term strategy for positioning yourself in the market, typically over the next 2-5 years. 

The work we do for you is cumulative in the long-run; but if you stop suddenly, all of the previous work will start to lose momentum and some of it will stop becoming effective.

Thus, we prefer to work with clients who are committed to implementing a strategy that they plan to execute over at least a 12-month period.  If you’re not committed to your own business strategy, then why should we?
